I started an awesome journey today, studying to become a Nutritional Therapist, something I would not have envisioned for myself just a year ago, yet here I am.

Why?

Asking the question why? is always vital to sticking to a plan. I have a big WHY? which begin with my own health difficulties and challenges. Just 5 years ago (wow! that long ago), my health forced me to get a subtotal-hysterectomy after fighting for my life for over 14 years because of large multiple fibroids of all four types – Intramural, Subserosal, Submucosal, Pedunculated (see Mayo Clinic). Yes, this honey child had to get all the examples of the disease, which stunned my 26 doctors through the years.

My hysterectomy still came after 3 Myomectomies to remove the fibroids which had a mind of their own and came back worse than the time before. They cost me 4 miscarriages, a Deep vein thrombosis(DVT), hundreds of hospital visits (one visit was a 30-day Stay), hundreds of x-rays, ultrasounds (internal/external), MRIs, etc, etc, etc.

You would think like doctors promised millions of women, a hysterectomy will solve your fibroids problem, well it rarely does. Since my surgery, I’ve developed Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS), Endometriosis, and still have one large Subserosal Fibroid.

While dealing with all this, I found out that the fibroids could have been dealt with naturally without any surgery, which angered me that I didn’t know this before all that. I went to a doctor and asked why he didn’t tell me all this information about natural solutions, he informed me that he is not qualified as a nutritionist to share that with me, his medical books don’t teach them natural remedies. I couldn’t take my anger out on him, he couldn’t do better.

I believe God turned my anger into a mission to make sure every woman knows that there are other solutions that don’t destroy their lives with surgeries, side effects from medications and the humiliations of internal examinations. So I started HIPP about Health to connect people to the right information of God’s plan for health from experts in the wholistic natural health field.

Now it is time to learn more myself, and I decided to start with Nutritional therapy.

As a Nutritional Therapist, I can work with healthy individuals in order to prevent disease and with sick people to ease and minimise symptoms of a developed disease. I am really excited about this mission and I will be blogging my way through the course, so keep reading so you too can learn alongside with me and transform your life and your loved ones.

Don’t forget to leave me a comment, I can use all the encouragement I can get lol.
